One of the easiest things you can change in your diet is what type of salad dressing you use. You can make your own simple salad dressings using the finest ingredients for about the same cost as an average bottle of dressing…and your homemade dressings won’t contain rancid vegetable oils, trans fats or additives! With a little practice, it takes no more than a couple of minutes to produce a delicious dressing for your salad. Use high quality ingredients like extra-virgin olive oil as the base and then add vinegar like apple cider or balsamic depending on your mood. Spices can vary based on the season. Here are two of my favorites you can try or concoct your own creations!
Balsamic Dressing
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon Celtic sea salt
1 clove garlic, minced
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon cold-pressed flax oil
Servings: 4 Prep: 10 minutes
Combine balsamic, mustard, salt and garlic in food processor. While processing, add olive oil in slow stream and then the flax oil. Refrigerate before serving.
Creamy Coconut Balsamic Dressing

2 teaspoons cold-pressed flax oil
