School is back in session and so that means it’s time to start thinking of healthy lunch and snack ideas. Be sure to make as many items as you can homemade and also to include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, include healthy fats, which are great for optimal brain function and can help your kids stay focused in school (See my previous blog post “Eat Fat and Improve Brain Function“). To make it more fun add some dips that kids love such as salsa, hummus, ranch or fruit dip.
