We have been told that eggs, cholesterol and fat cause heart disease. Yet, this is a fallacy we have been fed for years (pardon the pun). It simply is not the truth. It is so important for people to know about fats that I am co-authoring another book with Dr. David Brownstein about fats and why we need them to live called “The Skinny on Fats“. Look for it coming Spring/Summer 2014 and feel free to email me if you want to be notified when it is officially released!
The standard American diet consists of too many processed foods–those found in boxes, bags, cans, and packages–that contain too little quality fat. Not only are these foods lacking in good fats, they are also lacking in other vital nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Furthermore, they contain too many refined substances and sugar that disrupt our normal biochemical processes and put us on the path to many chronic illnesses. Examples of these poor foods include food that has been sweetened–both artificially and with refined sugar–food with hydrogenated oils or trans-fats, food that has been stripped of nutrients, over-cooked, or chemically treated as well as foods with preservatives, stabilizers, artificial colors and flavors. In other words, refined, processed foods are devitalized foods which are devoid of basic nutrients and often full of anti-nutrients, chemicals, additives and neurotoxins that harm our normal bodily functions and could be the real cause of heart disease, obesity and other chronic illnesses we are facing today. According to Dr. Mark Hyman, “It’s sugar, not fat, that causes heart attacks.” Read more on his latest blog at Eggs Don’t Cause Heart Attacks — Sugar Does.

All of the nutrients are in the egg yolk, my opinion is to eat the whole egg! Eating eggs does not cause high cholesterol. Read more about cholesterol at http://www.cholesterol-and-health.com/
