Many people (especially teens) are eating edamame as if it is popcorn and snacking on it daily thinking its a health food.  As many of you know I have written a book on Soy and why its not good for you called “The Soy Deception.” And, this includes edamame.  Although edamame has less toxins then other types of soy commonly found at the grocery store it is not something you should be snacking on daily.  Learn more about edamame on the Nourishing our Children BLOG.  I actually would suggest good ole popcorn over edamame any day. That is if you use organic popcorn and pop it up the old fashioned way in a skillet using coconut oil.  Then top it with some organic butter or some coconut oil and Celtic sea salt for a delicious snack!
